Oh, Bo

I'm getting there.

NYR

A couple of days ago I remarked that New Year’s resolutions are ridiculous. Change has to start right away - the idea of the ‘clean start’ tends to keep you from beginning, and also allows for circumstances to play a bigger role than they should. In the end, new year’s resolutions mostly serve to maintain the belief in change, while continuing in the same ole patterns.

So without further ado, here are the plans I’ve made for this year, and the principles I intend to pursue:

  • Be more like Bear Grylls. This was a joke that quickly became a good aim. Grylls worries minimally, takes risks and focuses only on finding the solution.
  • Routine, discipline and setting a high bar will work only to help me.
  • Me and my inner strivings are my higher purpose, and responsibility toward this the most important thing.
  • Among the skills that I will develop are (still) designing and coding.
  • Establishing authenticity is a higher priority than ever.

We’ll see if any of this means more blogging.
